Grade Weekly Plan
7th Grade-
January
14-18 Monday-
Lab 12. Students mixed 5 different chemicals with water to
determine if each didsolved.
Tuesday- Students started vocabulary, lab questions, Is it
Dissolving probe, and solutions A-T worksheet.
Wednesday- Students finished up on Tuesday's work. Solutions A-T
due next week.
Thursday- Video on some vocabulary (dissolving, solutions, mixture,
physical change, solubility, saturated solution). Students wrote an
exit slip using at least 5 volcaulary words to describe a saturated
copper sulfate solution.
Friday- Students will begin a lab to determine if how much sodium
chloride and sodium nitrate will dissolve in water (solubility).
Pre-lab write up will take place today, and perhaps the lab will
get started. Students will finsih the lab and write a conlusion on
Tuesday.
** Reassessment for the POM test from last week will take
place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students must make an appointment
and show evidence of additional work to re-take the tests.
8th
Grade- January 14-18 Monday- Friday- Students will be
working on microscope packets all week. We will be completing
another packet that requires students to work on vocabulary, know
the parts of the scope, make microscope drawings, and answer
discussion questions from class.
Friday- Microscope quiz. Students must pass with an "A" (they can
miss 1). Correctly identify all microscope parts. Reassessment for
the microscope quiz will take place during microscope work time in
class next week. Basically students do not get to continue on
microscope work until they can correctly identify all the parts and
tell how to safely use the
scopes.
