Digitools-9th
Grade
Digitools is a combined World Studies/English/Science Digitools
course. Digitools (Digital Communication Tools) is a course
developed by the State that teaches various technology competencies
to assist students in completing their World Studies, English and
Science projects and other assignments in school. These
skills will prove invaluable in completing their Culminating
Project prior to graduation.
Open Lab
Open Lab is every Tuesday morning at 7:20 and ends at 7:45. I
also have lab on Tuesdays after school from
2:30-3:15. Students are responsible to make up their work if
they have been absent due to illness, travel or other activities
that take them away from school during a scheduled Digitools
class. STUDENTS MUST DO ALL WORK FOR DIGITOOLS IN THE
CLASSROOM LAB-NOT AT HOME!
Class Schedule
March
Students will be working on their
Children's Storybook and then some classes will begin working
on the Cuban Missile Crisis CBA. This will all be through
English (Storybook) and World Studies (CBA) classes.
April
Students will be working on the CBA on the
Cuban Missile Crisis during the entire month of April. This
is through their World Studies Class.
May
The lab will be used for MSP Testing for part
of the month. The rest of the time, students will be working
on their Poetry Powerpoint through English.
June
During the month of
June, students will work on completing their Webpage, burning a
disk of the work they have done all year in Digitools and finally
create a page of labels. These activities will be
through their World Studies Classes.
