I
am proud to be a member of the teaching staff at Glacier
View, and Team Zenith. This is
my twenty-sixth year of teaching; almost all of my
positions have been at the secondary level, predominately at
the 9th and 12th grade. I have taught integrated
English/Social Studies to gifted students, English,
and Honors
(Pre-AP) English.
I met my husband, Jerry, while attending
Washington State University where I earned a BA in
Education/Language Arts. Our sons, Patrick and
Collin, attended W.S.U. as well, and between the four of us,
we have eight degrees from W.S.U. (I traveled east to
Ellesburg, and did my graduate work at Central in
Reading.) We make several pilgrimages east on Highway 26
every year, as Pullman is a destination spot for our
family. Both of our sons are married to amazing women, and
Patrick and his wife, Meredith, (also a Coug grad,
so her degree makes nine diplomas from W.S.U. ) have a
son, Caiden, who willl be a year old in
October. Being a grandmother has changed my life and
redefined for me the concept joy.
I encourage you to use this site to stay informed about what is
happening in my classes. Under the
"Documents" tab, I will routinely post my powerpoint
lessons, assignments, assessments and rubrics. Also under this tab
you will find my grading polocy, standards, syllabus, and a handout
of essential information about the course. To help you
track assessments, I advise you to periodically check
the "Announcements" tab where I will post assessment
dates.
