Hunt
5th Grade MSP Dates!!!
Thursday May 2nd- Science
Tuesday May 7th- Reading
Thursday May 9th-Math
On MSP dates it is so important that your child gets to school on
time. It is essential that they have eaten breakfast and had
a good nights rest the night before. Also, please try your
hardest to not pull students out of school early on these dates, or
schedule any appointments in the morning. I am so excited for
this intelligent and very special group to show off all of their
skills.
All book orders in room 16 are done online. It quickens the process
and takes out all checks and cash from having to be brought to
school. When you log in on the site you will need our classroom
code which is GX9ZT. Our next order will be due on Friday, February
1st.
Creating a New
Nation Music Program
February 5th and
7th
Your child has been working extremely hard on
his or her upcoming music program. This year’s theme is
the American Revolution. Please help your child memorize their
speaking parts if they have one and also go over their lyrics
sheet.
We will be performing this program
on February 5th and 7th . The February 5th
performances will be during the school day. They will be at 9:10
and 10:10. The performance on the 7th is an evening
performance and it is important that all students attend. Many
of the students have speaking parts, and solos, and every
student’s voice is needed in all of the songs.
Please mark your calendar to have your child at school on
February 7th at 6:15. The performance will be at
6:30.
Science packets and due dates are being sent home today! Students
are going to recieve two copies of the dates. One is for them
to put in their binder, and one is to keep at home. The dates are
included here as well.

- Hunt Science Fair display and judging in gym
Science fair is around
the corner. All 5th graders at Hunt Elementary are required
to participate. In the next couple of weeks your child will
be responsible for coming up with their testable question. Please
be looking for the science fair packet that will be sent home the
week before winter break. The science fair will be Friday
March, 1st this year.
Please have a conversation with your child
about their school supplies. Ask what they need to be
sucessful. It is that time of year where students need
pencils, erasers, etc. Our classroom stock is close to being
gone.
Thank
you for your support on the Fall food drive. Our class brought in
95 items to donate.
If you could please make sure that your child has a gallon size
ziplock bag for their library book that would be greatly
appreciated. Many many library books have been ruined by
water damage in the last few days. A simple ziplock bag could
save your child from library fines. (Thank you for the donation from the
Maciel Family!!!!) * We
are in need of lysol or disinfecting wipes for our classroom. If
you are willing to donate they would be greatly
appreciated. Make sure that you are checking your
students planner on a nightly basis! * Here are some fun
math websites for students. I am noticing that many students
would benefit by working on their basic multiplication facts
at home. When students pass up through their 12's they get 50
yahoos!

cure!
Wear red, white and blue on Nov. 6th in honor of election day.
Ask your child if they registered to vote for our moch
election.
We love
celebrating at Hunt! From birthdays to accomplishments -
taking time to honor each other is important. Please help our
class out and let me know if you would like to provide treats or
special recognitions for your child. To protect our
instructional time and limit interruptions to the learning, if you
bring items to school after the day has started, the office will
hold on to them until a break or lunch time. Thank you for
your attention to this school and community
agreement.
