Congratulations to the PHS Concert/Symphonic Band for their

Valley Solo and Ensemble Contest, earning superior excellent

This was a promotion for the upcoming Rock Wood Fired Pizza Battle
of the Bands. PHS took 1st place winning $10,000 in both 2009
and 2010. Last year PHS finished in 5th but also won
$1,000 for receiving the most text votes. (11/8/12)

Yay, to the PHS Jazz Band for placing 3rd at the elite Clark
College Jazz Festival in Vancouver! Besides the really groovy
trophy and the invitation to play in the Finals Concert, the jazz

The Puyallup HS Band was announced as the WIAA Academic State
Champions for 2011 with an accumulative GPA of 3.671.

On Saturday January 29th, the PHS Jazz Band finished 4th at
the Clark College Jazz Festival. Considering some of the
fantastic bands that compete at this annual festival, the PHS Jazz
Band was extremely honored! (2/1/11)
A huge congratulations to the PHS Jazz Band on their 2nd place
finish at the Riverside Jazz Festival. Along with a really
groovy trophy, they were also given the opportunity to perform in
the evening concert with UW's Tom Collier. Yeah band!

Well... we did it again. Congrats to all band students on
voting our way into the top ten and making a fantastic
recording. For the second year we have won the Grand Prize of
$10,000 in the Rock Wood Fired Pizza Battle of the Bands. Thank you
to everyone who helped vote to secure our spot. This clearly
would not happen without you! (12/17/10)
