Homework
Spelling:
A spelling booklet was sent home with your child. It has one
month's worth of words in it. The dates of the tests are written at
the top of each page. Please practice the words and sentences each
night with your child so that they are ready for the test on
Fridays. Most of their practice will take place at home, not in the
class.
Math:
Occassionally classwork will be sent home to be completed and
returned the next day. There will also be Home Connection
activities and games that you can do with your child. These are
great for reinforcing math skills taught in class.
Monthly
Projects:
Each month your child will have a monthly
family project that is due at the end of the month. Detailed
directions will be included with these projects. Please take the
time to complete them neatly and creatively. Be sure to complete
all the required components. Sometimes you have to create a project
AND a poster explaining it. These projects are always sent home
early in the month so that you have lots of time to complete them.
They are required and count as multiple grades such as,
reading, communication, homework, social studies, etc.
